WHEN AND WHERE?Life Valley Church is located at 2827 Flint Ave., San Jose, CA – conveniently located near highways 101 and 280. Sunday services begin at 10am. We encourage you to come a little early, enjoy some coffee and/or a pastry, and get kids checked in, if needed. Our friendly greeting team with the green lanyards will happily help you find your way around if you need any help.
WHAT ABOUT KIDS?If you have any kids 3 months – 12 year old, we have an awesome Children’s Ministry, LV Kiddos, that they’re going to love! With age-appropriate classes, your child will get to learn, play, sing, and make new friends. We suggest coming by 9:45am, to make sure you’ve got plenty of time to get your kids signed in, and feel comfortable with our professional, fun, courteous, and screened children’s team.
WHAT’S SERVICE LIKE?Our services generally last about 75 minutes, and include live music by our worship team, occasional creative videos or other use of arts, some Bible reading and testimony by someone from our church family, greeting time to meet others in our church community, and a practical message for your everyday life straight from the Bible by our Lead Pastor, John Markum.
WHAT’S EXPECTED OF ME?Mostly, we just want you to enjoy your time with us! The best thing you could do for us is let us know you were here. On the back of the seats (right in front of where you might sit) are some CONNECT CARDS. We’d love for you to fill one out and drop it off with our volunteers at the beginning or end of service, and let us thank you with a nice gift bag.
OTHER “FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS”What should I wear?
The blue shirt really makes your eyes pop… Just kidding, but seriously, dress comfortable. Even our staff dress from jeans and V-necks, to dress shirts and ties. As long as your parents haven’t had to pick your clothes out for awhile, we trust you know what to wear before walking out in public.
Do I need to bring a Bible? And what version?
Bringing a Bible is definitely encouraged, but not “required” if you don’t have one. Most of our scripture used in service will be viewable on the screens and bulletin, and there are Bibles available. And if you’re reading this on your smartphone, you could always just download the YouVersion Bible app here… you’re welcome 😉
Am I expected to give money?
Nope. We do mention giving, and encourage it for those who call Life Valley their church home, but there’s never any pressure to give, especially from our guests. So if we pass an offering basket, feel free to let it pass by. No one will look at you weird, promise. Of course, if you’d like to give, that’s totally fine too. Online giving is also a convenient option. But again, absolutely no pressure.
